A Venn diagram draws sets as circles inside a rectangle, which stands for the universal set U. Two circles split the rectangle into four parts: only in A, in A and B, only in B, and outside both circles.
What does this generator do?
On easy, you shade simple operations (intersection, union, difference, complement). On medium, combined expressions such as (A ∪ B)′ or A′ ∩ B. On hard, you solve word problems about two sets.
How to use it
1) For each of the four parts of the diagram, ask whether it belongs to the set. 2) Click the parts that do. 3) In a word problem, first fill in the overlap, then “only A” and “only B”, and finally the part outside the circles.
