What does this generator do?
The generator picks a random fraction with denominator 3–25. Decide whether it expands to a terminating or a recurring decimal.
How to recognise it
Reduce the fraction to lowest terms. If the denominator only has 2 and 5 as prime factors (e.g. 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16, 20, 25, 40), the expansion terminates. If it has 3, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 15 etc. as a factor, it recurs.
