This exercise practises counting back through zero. You start with a small positive number and subtract a larger one. The answer is negative — it shows where you end up on the cold side of zero.

What does this generator do?

Picks a small starting number (1–9) and a step at least 2 bigger, so subtracting always crosses zero into the negative numbers.

How to use it

Count back from the start through zero. First count down to 0, then keep counting into the negatives. Or: subtract the start from the step — that tells you how far past zero you go.
