Write the number in expanded form.
Expanded form of 0:
0 =
In this exercise you will write a number as the sum of the values of its individual places. The expanded form helps you understand the value each digit has depending on its position. For example, 45,237 = 40,000 + 5,000 + 200 + 30 + 7.
What is the generator?
The generator creates a five- to seven-digit number and displays as many input boxes as the number has non-zero digits. Fill each box with the value of one place – from the highest place down to the lowest.
How to use
Fill in all boxes from the highest place value down to the lowest. For example, for 40,207 write 40,000, 200 and 7. Zero place values are skipped in the expanded form.
