Correct
Addition and subtraction are inverse operations, and so are multiplication and division: one undoes the other. That is why you find the missing number in □ + 348 = 1 553 by subtracting: 1 553 − 348.
What does this generator do?
It shows an equation with one number missing. Easy level uses addition and subtraction, medium uses multiplication and division, and hard mixes all four operations with bigger numbers.
How to use it
1) Look at which operation is in the equation. 2) Choose the inverse operation. 3) Work out the missing number and put it back in to check that the equation is true. If you get stuck, click Hint.
