In this exercise you multiply a fraction by a whole number. Think "this many lots of": 2/5 × 3 is three lots of two fifths, so 6/5. You multiply only the numerator; the denominator stays the same. The result can then be simplified, but does not have to be.

What does this generator do?

Picks a fraction with a small denominator (2–10) and a single-digit whole number (2–9).

How to use it

Multiply the numerator by the whole number. The denominator stays the same. The result can (but does not have to) be simplified — any equivalent fraction is accepted.
