Decide whether the number is divisible by the given divisor.

Is 24 divisible by 3?

This exercise practises the divisibility rules. You get a number and one of the divisors 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 or 10 — you decide whether it divides exactly, without actually doing the division. The familiar shortcuts help: parity of the last digit, the digit sum, and which digit a number ends with.

What does this generator do?

Picks a number (12–200) and one of the divisors 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 or 10. You decide whether the number is divisible — without actually doing the division.

How to use it

Rules: divisible by 2 = last digit is even; by 5 = ends in 0 or 5; by 10 = ends in 0; by 3 and 9 = digit sum is divisible by 3 (or 9); by 4 = the last two digits form a number divisible by 4; by 6 = divisible by both 2 and 3.
